Christmas Concert 2017

15th December 2017

Brooklands School hosted its annual Christmas concert on Tuesday 12th December and it was a huge success! Over 60 students participated in the event and lots of family and friends came along to support our hard-working students. The evening included an array of different acts including our talented school choir, the new school band ‘Brooklands All Stars’, instrumental soloists and some readers.

Ellen Parker wrote her own poem about a Christmas tree which was fantastic and George Thomas performed a trombone solo from Harry Potter which he had recently learned for his grade 4 trombone exam. The evening ended with a wonderful rendition of ‘We wish you a merry Christmas’ from our enthusiastic year 5’s and from the kind donations received we have managed to raise enough money to purchase a samba kit for the department.

Thank you to all those students who were involved and those who came along to support them. It has certainly marked the start of the festive season and I hope you all have a merry Christmas and a happy new year.
