The procedure defines three initial levels at which a complaint can be made.
- The informal level to a member of staff.
- A formal complaint in writing to a senior member of staff.
- A formal complaint in writing to the Governing Body of the School.
Naturally many complaints, or potential complaints, can be best resolved within the school in discussion with the Headteacher or other members of staff. This informal approach is recommended as the best starting point and will usually bring about the quickest solution.
However, should this informal stage fail then the complaint should be made in writing, first to a senior member of staff, then to the Governing Body of the school if the issue is not resolved.
