Arts and Culture are seen as a vital element within and beyond the curriculum. We are a vibrant and exciting curriculum area where students consistently make excellent progress and produce work of the highest standards. We have high expectations of our students and this is reflected in the work produced by our students, their ability to think deeply and creatively about their work and their growth mind-set.
Staff consistently create a visually stimulating environment for pupils to learn in and be enthused. We endeavour to deliver a broad but creative set of art projects that tie in with the National Curriculum and involve a wide variety of art techniques and processes including ICT. The Art and Culture department staff make up a dedicated and enthusiastic team always seeking new ways in which we can be creative, innovative and successful through the learning process and outcomes.
We offer opportunities for all our artists to work in a range of media, with a range of processes and techniques and we change projects regularly to ensure innovation and creativity are at the core of what we do.
We have a regularly updated Online Art Gallery that showcases the fantastic work of our students and department news.
