Aurora Class

Welcome to the Aurora Class page!
Aurora Class is a mixed-aged Key Stage 2 class which follows an adapted curriculum and supports pupils whose main area of need is Cognition & Learning. Aurora Class was brand new in 2023 and pupils have made exceptional progress.
Aurora Class benefit from a primary set up in which they are taught predominantly by Mrs Healey, Mrs Hays and Mr Penn with specialist teachers for Music, PE and Art.The class has a higher ratio of teaching assistants who support learning, emotional wellbeing and learning individual targets.
The Aurora staff are committed to ensuring that the pupils are supported by experts who are able to adapt learning tasks and the classroom environment to meet individual pupils' needs. Aurora Class have access to Maths Whizz which is an individualised computer program allowing pupils to work at their own level, we have found pupils have made excellent progress using this learning tool.
